GeoPub Celebrates 10 Years of Service
In August, GeoPub celebrated 10 years of dedicated service to the resources industry, with a particular emphasis on the abolition of thirst issues on the part of the industry's geologists.
Organised by co-founder Rod Dawney from AusMec, the night attracted a large number of geologists and other riff-raff, who met at Mick O'Malleys Whiskey Bar in Brisbane. The night was generously sponsored by a number of exploration and mining companies, and individuals.
During the evening Rod was presented with a Roy Gfeller leather mapping case, in recognition of his very significant efforts in maintaining the GeoPub newsletter, and organisation of the various venues the group has enjoyed over the years.
The evening was recorded by Dr. Ken "Lord Lichfield" Moule (on the left, with Doug Brewster); the photographic evidence can be found here.
